  • Physitrack allows us to design home exercise programs and to send these exercise programs to you via PhysiApp,

    a free app for our patients that is available on web, iOS and other platforms. Or if you prefer paper, we can print your exercise plan with clear pictures and instructions.

What is PhysiApp?

  • Our patients can use a free app PhysiApp (iOS, Android and web) to access crystal clear and professional narrated videos to show them how to perform their exercises correctly.
  • PhysiApp helps our patients to remember when to do their exercises thanks to in-app reminders.
  • PhysiApp tracks your progress and feedback in real-time, allowing us to better support you based on clear outcome data.

What is Clinical Pilates?

  • Clinical Pilates is a form of physical exercise that focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing.
  • Clinical Pilates is a diagnostic and rehabilitation tool for injury and performance enhancement.
  • The Pilates Method was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century in Germany. Although traditional Pilates can be extremely beneficial for patients
    with certain injuries it needs to be specific to the individual and not used as a generic tool for everyone.
    Clinical Pilates (as distinct to generic Pilates classes) identifies this key issue by applying carefully selected exercises to patients with specific injuries.
    This ensures optimal gains whilst minimising the likelihood of injury aggravation.
  • Ondrej has postgraduate training in Clinical Pilates (matwork) and is currently working towards his Clinical Pilates matwork certification.

What is Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)?

The SFMA is the movement based diagnostic system, designed to clinically assess 7 fundamental movement patterns in those with known musculoskeletal pain. The assessment provides an efficient method to systematically find the cause of symptoms, not just the source, by logically breaking down dysfunctional patterns and diagnosing their root cause as either a mobility problem or a stability/motor control problem.

This systematic process allows clinicians to clearly match their intervention to the main problem of the patient. This model efficiently integrates the concepts of altered motor control, the neurodevelopmental perspective, and regional interdependence into musculoskeletal practice.
